Wedding Photographer Assistant (part-time, as needed basis, and flexible (C NJ) We are a small, boutique wedding photography studio based in central New Jersey and working primarily in NYC and New Jersey with occasional shoots in Connecticut, the Hamptons, Philadelphia, and beyond. We have a natural, relaxed, photo-documentary style and enjoy close relationships with our clients. We are looking for a photo assistant to assist on shoots, mainly weddings on weekends. We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, hard-working, curious, eager to learn, and passionate about photography (especially photographing people). A typical days' work will be 8 to 10 hours. (Please note that this opening is for a photo shoot assistant only; we do not need a 2nd shooter or studio manager.) Your duties would be: on location photo equipment setup assisting with lighting in a wide variety of locations and conditions interacting with clients and their guests in a professional, friendly, helpful way being an on-task, reliable team player Your qualifications: some photography experience is desirable (but not necessary) you have reliable transportation and are able and willing to travel all around New Jersey and the NYC metro area for jobs you are calm under pressure and have a positive attitude you are available to work on weekends you have great energy and are able to stay on your feet for an 8 to 12 hour day you are able to lift heavy equipment a strong interest in photography, especially wedding photography, is a must If interested, please send us a short note with your resume and a link to your online portfolio (if you have one).
