Position - - - - - - - - We are looking for a Part-Time Facilities Assistant to help execute day to day facilities projects. The Part-Time Facilities Assistant should be technically or mechanically inclined with creative problem solving skills. They should be a quick and critical thinker who is comfortable and able to work outdoors doing manual labor. Carpentry skills and experience using power tools is a plus. Experience using farming equipment is a must. Responsibilities: - - - - - - - - Provide equipment and facility maintenance, general repair, and cleaning including tasks such as painting, fence repair, scrubbing and sweeping barn facilities, and raking out all bedding straw in barns. Provide general animal care tasks such as feeding, watering and assisting with occasional medical treatments and upkeep Provide general grounds work including tasks such as general cleaning, mowing, landscaping, planting, snow/ ice removal, and other related tasks. Provide general labor including, but not limited to, assisting in facility repair and maintenance, picking up and moving supplies, event support, and other such related duties. Dusting and cleaning fixtures, including lighting and fans Moving and spreading compost Landscaping around the farm such as mowing, weeding, and trimming. Repeated heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs. Operating tractors, ATVs and potential various other machinery Perform other duties as assigned by the Shelter Director. - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hours: 20-29/week Compensation: $15.00 per hour Schedule: We're flexible on what days but you'll typically be working a set weekly schedule. - - - - - - - - Apply with a resume and cover letter.
