The OP is correct. Many parts of the west from Colorado to the coat re hitting record heat. The entire west is in a drought as well. The northwest is reaching records low rainfall coupled with record high heat. When you look at the climate across the U.S. over the past ten years, there are all kinds of severe records being broken. Flooding in the south and north east. Deep freezes in Texas that last for days. More extreme hurricanes and tropical storms in the south. Higher and more frequent winds in the west. More extreme fire seasons from Montana to Southern California. Lake temperatures are increasing. The ocean temperatures are increasing. You can argue the cause of global warming if it makes you feel better but only a fool would try to argue that our climate is not changing. Regardless of the cause of climate change, reducing greenhouse gasses can dramatically reduce it. Ignoring climate change is like allowing your neighbors house to burn because you do not believe that you had anything to do with causing the fire. The type of people who ignore climate change are like the kind of people who have no qualms about littering. These people sip have no respect for our world. This sis a very selfish attitude. Luckily for our planet, climate deniers are the vast minority.
