Job Description Position available for a reliable and well-rounded handyman or facilities person that can assist in the turn-around of a self-storage property in the Farmville, VA area. The property has been neglected and is in need of someone who can help to bring it back to its full potential. Any candidates will need to be independent individuals capable of working with minimal supervision who take great pride of ownership in all they do. Part-Time: 80+/- hours initially upfront based on availability. Compensation negotiable based on experience -this is a 1099 position. Responsibilities: ● Removing and spraying of weeds, vines, and woody vegetation around the property ● Basic concrete and mortar patching and repair ● Exterior and interior painting and prep (experience with using a paint sprayer a plus) ● Cleaning ability or able to coordinate with outside 3rd party cleaner ● Light demolition (taking down exterior deck) ● Light carpentry ● Light electrical ● Coordinate and meet with outside contractors as directed by management *NOTE – Applicants with many of these skills, but perhaps not all are still encouraged to apply Requirements: ● Must have a smartphone with picture taking and texting capabilities ● Reliable with good communication skills and email access ● Pride of ownership in all that they do ● Access to hand tools ● Access to a trailer for hauling (desirable but not required) Please respond with work experience and references.
