HOME EVERY NIGHT 7am - 3:30pm... (Sometimes 5PM) Weekday schedule (Sadler Electric gives employees an extra 1/2-day PTO for every month of perfect attendance with regard to our attendance policy) Sadler Electric is a heavy highway electrical company that specializes in roadway lighting and signing. We are looking for a Class A CDL driver to operate our company truck and move equipment on our low boy and other trailer options. Load and unload heavy equipment (Excavators, Lo-Drills, genie booms, etc.) and move loads from our shop to job site and job site to job site. Sadler works through the entire year, so this is a steady in town job. Start and end the day from Sadler's shop with most driving around Omaha and Council Bluffs' Interstate Systems. Must be able to assist in loading and unloading of equipment, as well as ability to move dunnage and other miscellaneous materials. TASKS · Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. · Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. · Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. · Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. · Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. SKILLS · Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems. · Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. · Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others. · Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. · Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. ABILITIES · Manual Dexterity — The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, your hand over your head or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. · Static Strength — The ability to exert enough maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects with a minimum weight of 75 lbs. · Multilimbed Coordination — The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. · Arm-Hand Steadiness — The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position. · Control Precision — The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions. · Problem Sensitivity — The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. · Depth Perception — The ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from you, or to judge the distance between you and an object. · Near Vision — The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). · Far Vision — The ability to see details at a distance.
