Element Farms needs help maintaining our large-scale greenhouse in Lafayette, NJ. As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll work as part of our maintenance team to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll often work independently under the direction of our Facilities Manager. Element Farms pays two times per month and benefits are available for full-time employees after a waiting period. YOU’RE A GOOD FIT FOR THE ROLE IF YOU: -Have at least 1 year of experience on a maintenance team at a commercial or industrial work environment -Like working with your hands -Can diagnose and solve mechanical, technical, and electrical issues -Can work independently and do it well -Are reliable and punctual -Value good attendance and a good attitude -Know that maintaining equipment is crucial to a company’s success -Want to be a part of a team that’s building something big -Have basic knowledge in areas such as HVAC, industrial electrical, and plumbing -Have basic knowledge of power tools, diagnostic and testing instruments preferred TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: -Responding to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests -Monitoring automated equipment -Organizing, planning, and completing preventative maintenance tasks for automated equipment -Groundskeeping and general upkeep of the property (landscaping, trash removal). -Running errands to pick up materials and supplies as needed -Operating forklift, manlift, and/or front-end loader -Organizing and inventorying materials, tools, and parts -Safe and proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment -Other tasks as assigned NECESSARY AVAILABILITY: 5 days a week (6 if you want it!) 8 am - 6 PM OTHER REQUIREMENTS: -Ability to lift 50 lbs -Some experience with maintenance and/or construction work in a commercial setting -Reliable transportation to get to and from work -Compliance with all safety and food safety policies in the greenhouse -Must be legally able to work in the United States COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: PPE (masks, gloves) must be worn on site at all times for unvaccinated team members Social distancing required where available COMPENSATION: $18/hr
