This event is about networking, having fun and taking photos of other photographers and vendors! Hello so welcome to the first networking event hosted by "Northeast Wedding Styled Shoots". Hopefully we'll do more of these but what can you expect at this event? -It's a great time to network! It's just good to get out post pandemic and socialist -If you want updated brand photos this is a great time to run into other photographers -Wine....this place serves wine....that's a good enough reason for myself As a heads up this event is NOT for you if you intend on doing the following: -Charging folks for headshots -Taking photos, but not giving folks photos (if you don't feel like editing just hand over the unedited files!) *If I get word of you doing any of the two things above you will be removed from the group* This will be hosted at Paradise Vineyards in Wallingford, CT, this will start as early as 5:30pm but I may honestly show up a little earlier. First couple of bottles are on me lol. FAQ: Can I bring friends? This is a tough call, I have to limit this event to 20 people, and I don't want to be rude to the venue owners. I think it'll be OK if they come and buy wine, but if they are just taking up space from potential buying customers this would be frowned upon. Can I go with non-wedding pros? Unless if they are a couple who wouldn't mind posing for some photos so that photographers can get photos/video of themselves working with other couples, then no. We have to try our best to keep this to around 20 people. Do I have to drink? No of course not, but I'll be honest I probably wouldn't get invited back here again if I got 20 folks to show up, take up table space and not buy a single drink lmfao, especially with there being no door charge. How early is too early? I'm probably planning on showing up as early as 5pm, earlier than that maybe a bit too early lol. Can I come if I'm not a photographer? Yes of course you can! This is for all wedding professionals. It's just that it would be helpful for everyone if there was a healthy mix of photographers present. It would be awkward if only 2 photographers show up and 18 other folks are just hanging out waiting for pictures. If I'm not a photographer should I bring anything? You don't have to bring anything, but I would suggest you bring a LITTLE something to showcase what you do. If you are a florist bring some flowers, if you are a planner, maybe bring a table to make a little setup. I just ask that you don't go crazy in planning this out. This is the first time I'm running one of these so I don't want folks to focus too much on their setups, this is mostly to network! Photos are a nice bonus.
