Treasured Kid's Event! A summer kids’ event called Treasured VBS will be hosted at the Monroe Seventh-day Adventist Church from Monday, July 19 through Saturday July 24. At Treasured, kids discover God’s greatest treasure isn’t diamonds, gems, or gold – it’s them! Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Closing Quest that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 7:30 pm Kids at Treasured VBS will join a mission project effort to provide mosquito nets for draping over beds to protect kids while they sleep. The nets will be distributed all over the world—wherever mosquitoes may carry malaria. Treasured is for kids from 4 to 11 years old and will run from 5:30 pm to 7:45 pm each day.
