Position Description: As a Technician, you will perform light to moderate labor-intensive field and lab duties and testing under the direction of other technicians or staff professionals with minimal analysis of data required. This position will work out of the Braintree, MA location with local travel within MA and to RI. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Perform testing in the field of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine compliance with project specifications using specialized equipment designed to collect data from the various construction materials, i.e.; nuclear density gauge, concrete testing equipment, etc. -All testing data and observations must be tabulated and submitted daily in an electric report. -Reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications, and entering data related to the various job tasks. -You will be required to keep equipment clean and in good working order. -Interact with construction site personnel, engineers and state and federal representatives while presenting yourself as a professional representative of the company. -This position will require some night and weekend work. Work Environment: This job operates in both a professional office environment as well as on a variety of outdoor job sites. Position will entail frequent exposure to outside work, dusty environments as well as occasional sedentary work. Position Type: This is a full-time 40 hour position. Hours may periodically include nights and weekends and overtime may be requested as determined by the needs of the department.
