Amazing Raffles you don't want to miss!!!On Friday November 20th, 2020, Anthony Mariano, also known as "Skip", was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Anthony & his fiancé Christie were due to be married in July 2020, however due to COVID, their wedding was postponed a year, to July 2021. Tragically, due to a drunk driver, they never got married and the world lost one of the best. Being that Anthony & Christie met at a Pearl Jam concert and have spent numerous nights together seeing Pearl Jam perform live all over the country, it felt appropriate to celebrate Anthony while help raising money for The Skip Fund by having a night out with NY's hottest Pearl Jam tribute band, Last Exit! The Skip Fund was created in Anthony's honor by his good friend John Theissen, who started the John Thiessen Children’s Foundation (JTCF) with a mission to help sick and underprivileged kids in any capacity. The Skip Fund takes it one step further with a focus on Anthony’s passions…including music and sports. Brief Background information about JTCF   In 1992, John Theissen founded JTCF, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, after John, at age 17, was hospitalized for a brain tumor at a local children’s hospital.   In 1992, John held a toy drive during the holidays to benefit children in local hospitals. During the first toy drive John collected over 800 hundred new toys in just two weeks and brought them to three different hospitals. Well that was the beginning of what has become a year round organization. Since 1992, JTCF has collected over one million new toys & gifts and have donated them to sick and underprivileged children.   JTCF also donates therapeutic and recreational equipment. Donations enable us to provide special wishes and gifts. In addition, we also help families with medical expenses.
