Residential and multi family residential projects in Southern Massachussttes. National installs HVAC equipment and systems and you will learn to become an expert on installing, testing and commisoning systems. The work is somewhat repititous but this is to the apprentices benefit becuase you get to perfect your technique and know it expertly so learning and advancing into other aspects of the work is easier when you have that solid foundation to build on. Enrollment in apprenticeship program after probationary period is offered and neccesary. To be an apprentice requires evening class attendence 2 or 3 nights a week for 3 hours over approx 8 months out of the year in order to amass the hours required to test. Experience in other aspects of construction is very helpful but not required. Mechanical experience from any other career is also very helpful in understanding what and why certain steps and procedures are used. Work hours are 7 to 330 with overtime readily available. Health insurance provided and paid for the individual employee. Vacation and 401k as well as all recognized holidays. 90 day review for compensation and apprenticeship direction. Experienced Journeyman are highly sought after in our trade.
