Taste a selection of Antinori wine from Italy with Marco Deary! Guests will enjoy a wine flight and complimentary salumi board! A story passed down through 26 generations . The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking for over six centuries since 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member, of the “Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri”, the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. All throughout its history, twenty-six generations long, the Antinori family has managed the business directly making innovative and sometimes bold decisions while upholding the utmost respect for traditions and the environment. Marco Deary the State Manager of Antinori USA will be your host for the evening along with Tuscan Brands Wine Director Joe Comforti. Marco was born and raised in coastal Tuscan region of Maremma, he developed a passion for wine early in life. As a young man he turned that passion into a career by studying Hospitality Management at the Italian University Isola d’Elba. Upon earning his degree his passion brought him to the United States, settling in Boston, where he worked as a Sommelier and Wine Director at several top Boston restaurants. From there he stepped fully into the wine world working for an Italian wine Importer before landing his dream position managing the Antinori family of wines for the New England region for the better part of the past decade.
