Want to grow your own food but have limited space? Learn to garden in containers so that you can grow vegetables anywhere! This hands-on class will teach you how to make delicious pasta sauce, hot sauce and tomato paste. We will be discussing all the herbal ingredients along with other vegetables that go with these sauces. We will be looking at this craft in a unique way. Utilizing excess vegetables at the end of your season. We will also be canning these sauces in class to preserve them for later use. Students will be taking home a quart jar of tomato sauce and a half pint of spicy hot sauce that they make in this course. Victory Gardens is an outreach program of Wild Willow Farm & Education Center, a 501(c)3 educational non-profit whose mission is to educate, cultivate and empower a sustainable food system in San Diego County.
