Rethink Dance Film Festival will be doing a special screening of the 2020 festival on July 29th at the Fargo Theatre In 2020, Rethink Dance Film Festival received 77 dance film submissions from 23 different countries. Due to COVID-19 our event looked a little different last year so we are doing a special screening of the 2020 films along with a few more! This Festival showcases artist in front of and behind the camera working to challenge the traditional structures of choreographic storytelling and artistic expression. Through art, the work of choreographers, dancers and filmmakers should inspire our communities to discover our shared humanity. Films submitted to the festival reflect the beauty and synchronicity between the choreography of dance with the choreography of cinematography. The films capture stories from and around the world of dance. At the screening we will be showcasing "WAKE" created by Chamber Six Media & Rethink Dance. The dance film serves as both a mourning and a celebration: the idea of letting go of something and celebrating the birth of something new.
