The Department of Social Sciences Graduate Orientation and Semester Kick-Off for its MPA and MAISS students and faculty. This event is restricted to invited guests only. Current and incoming Master of Arts in Intelligence and Security Studies (MAISS) and Master of Public Administration (MPA) students are required to attend. Please speak with your program director if you have concerns about your ability to attend. The Fall 2021 Social Sciences Graduate Orientation & Semester Kick-Off will be held on August the 6th, 2021from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Orientation will begin at 6 pm in the ‘Plug N’Play’ Room at the Hull/McKnight Building in GA Cyber Center 100 Grace Hopper Lane, Augusta, GA 30901. Reception to follow at 7:30 pm at ‘The Cloud’ at the Hull/McKnight Building in GA Cyber Center. Please RSVP by July the 21st of 2021. Please note free parking is NOT available at the Hull/McKnight Building. Parking is available at the Nathan Deal Campus in the parking deck for $1.25/hour or $7 all day. A credit card is the only acceptable form of payment. The parking deck is located at the front of the campus and can be accessed from 11th Street or 12th Street. Directions to the event from the parking deck: Walk towards the courtyard, which is away from Reynolds Street and towards the Savannah River. The Hull McKnight Building is on the right and the Shaffer McCartney Building is on the left, with both entrances facing the courtyard. Once in the lobby, check-in with the front desk for further directions to your final location. Please note that AU Shuttles only go to the GA Cyber Center upon request and do not run after 3 p.m. on Fridays.
