TWDCC and NIN collaborate to bring you a day of nature, connecting, relaxing, hiking, and plant knowledge with Akasha Apothecary This trip is in partnership with Santa Cruz based organization Tannery World Dance Cultural Center. TWDCC is responsible for the Santa Cruz Black Health Matters Fresh Air 2021 Intuitive which aims to brings awareness to access points for diversity in nature. NIN and TWDCC will be working to provide safe and fun experiences for those to enjoy nature comfortably.  Date: July 18th, 2021Attendance: FREE! For Santa Cruz County Black Health Matters Initiative ParticipantsIf you are coming from Oakland, please use THIS LINK to register.Timeline:8AM: Meet Up in Oakland at Nipsey Mural (363 Grand Ave, Oakland, CA 94610), 9:15-11:30AM: Driving toward Henry Cowell State Park 11:45AM: Meet Santa Cruz folks in parking lot of Henry Cowell State Park (101 Big Trees Park Rd, Felton, CA 95018) 12:00PM: Brief Introductions & Instructions of the day 12:15PM: Drew leads the group in a brief 30 minute mindfulness stretch 12:50PM: 2.8 mile hike toward the Garden of Eden.** On the trail, we will be accompanied by Akasha Apothecary who will be providing plant knowledge during the hike 1:15-6PM: Arrive to Garden of Eden Watering hold and relax and vibe out. Lunch will be eaten during this time (During this time feel free to explore the area) 6:30PM: Headed back towards parking lot 7:00PM: Final circle and goodbyes. The trail is primarily used for hiking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from April to October.
