Peabody, Salem Mobile Vaccination Opportunities This Week

SALEM, MA —Salem Hospital and Curative are bringing the coronavirus vaccine to residents and visitors at several locations this week in Peabody and Salem. Salem Hospital will have its mobile vaccination unit at the Citizens Inn on Wallis Street in Peabody on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. It will also be at the Salem Pantry on Loring Avenue on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be at the Salem Pequot Highlands on First Street on Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Salem Hospital will then be back at Salem Willows from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday, the unit will be at Mary Queen Apostles Parish on Hawthorne Boulevard from noon to 2 p.m. Curative — the company that ran the mass vaccination site at the Danvers DoubleTree Hotel for five months — will once again be offering the coronavirus vaccine at the Peabody Essex Museum from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday. "Seventy-two percent of the eligible Salem residents have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine," Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll said. "Let's keep increasing this percentage, especially with the rise of the highly contagious delta variant-now dominant in the USA. Virtually all new Covid deaths plus hospitalizations are among unvaccinated people. "We continue to monitor our wastewater for COVID variants, offer free COVID testing and encourage everyone eligible to get vaccinated. We have several mobile vax clinics in Salem. If you are not vaccinated, the best thing you can do to protect yourself+others is to get a COVID shot."
