An unconference-style learning experience geared towards teachers who are entering an in-person setting for the first time. The KCTR Coaching Team knows that many of our teachers (C4 and C5 especially) have not had the same level of in-person teaching as previous cohorts and would benefit from time to connect, practice, trouble-shoot, and prepare for starting the new school year. To meet that need, we have designed an unconference style afternoon to do exactly that! The event will be very participant driven, and will end with a happy hour on KCTR. While it is designed with new teachers in mind, this event is open to all grads and alumni. If you aren't able to join the entire afternoon due to school PD, you can still join the happy hour, which will start after 4pm! We'd love to have you there with your fellow KCTR teachers and spend some time connecting before the school year is in full swing. The Kansas City Teacher Residency (KCTR) is responsible for unlocking the potential of every child in our city by relentlessly innovating in the field of teacher preparation and pursuing equitable education.
