Description

Patty is a 7 year old female Morkie (Maltese x Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie). She is currently about 25 lbs. With her love of nap time and snuggles, Patty is just the pup for a low energy person who wants a companion to keep them company and give them cuddles all day long. This good girl is possibly one of the sweetest dogs out there, and anyone would be lucky to have her. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She is also housetrained She loves to snuggle and will ask for bellyrubs! Too cute! If someone sits by her when she is sleeping she often will put her head on their lap or ask for snuggles by pushing their hand with her nose. It can’t get much better than that! In terms of her energy level, Patty is definitely a “lounge all day” type of dog. She likes short, quick walks where she can do her business and go home. In terms of her training, Patty has done very well. She walks well on her leash, and responds well to praise. Furthermore, she is crate trained and (almost completely) housetrained. She will go to the door if she needs to potty. She had a few accidents the first few days while she was getting used to her new setup but none since. Finally, she doesn’t have any destructive habits: no chewing, digging, and minimal barking. Patty does very well with other dogs. Not only has she lived with another dog her whole life, but she has been well behaved with the other dogs she has encountered on walks. She will likely have a “peaceful coexistence” type of relationship if her forever family has a current resident dog. Patty will do best in a lower energy environment where she is given plenty of space to open up on her own time. She would also love a home where “her person” is home more than not-- so folks who are out of the house all day for work may not be the best option unless she goes to work with them. However, more than anything else she just needs someone to give her all the love she needs and deserves. Patty is only an option for those who have had a dog previously. If there are children they need to be over the age of 8.
