Guitarist starting an atmospheric non fuzzed metal band

Guitarist looking to start a symphonic atmospheric metal band that is not really metal. What’s that mean? It means I tend to play on the cleaner end of the spectrum and I particularly like the melodic, complex, and symphonic sections of atmospheric metal but not the ultra distorted fuzzed out parts. So, its not really metal even though the name says otherwise. If you would imagine a tonality akin to Pink Floyd’s David Gilmore but with complex trippy, psychedelic, atmospheric, dreamy textures ala Trower or Hendrix - combined with a 20th Century symphonic Prokiev/Rachmaninov/Stravinsky vibe, that would be what I like to play on guitar. I do like to incorporate echo, delay, chorus, tremolo, reverb, vibratone, and flange, but not so much a fuzz box. Sorry, but don’t need another guitarist, primarily need a bassist and vocalist at the moment. This would be ideal for Bass players who appreciate classical, symphonic, or jazz music - and are not limited to just grooving or keeping a dance beat. On the other hand, genuine metal players would probably think its not heavy enough. I say that because all the metal players I’ve jammed with said it was not what they expected. Just want to be upfront. As for vocals/lyricist, not looking for screamo, cookie monster, or squealing. Probably something 'woodsy or atmospheric' would work, not folk though. Subject matter usually concerns nature, folklore, mythology, space, futurism, or personal introspection. Combines metal with with the mellower, dreamy soundscapes of shoegaze. It often features synthesizers or classical instrumentation, typically to provide melody or ethereal accents over the sound provided by the guitars. Most bands in the genre are Nordic, UK, or Eastern European.
