Brookline Launches Vaccine ACT Video Project

BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Community Relations (ODICR) and the Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) have launched the Brookline Vaccine ACT Video Project to promote awareness and understanding of the COVID-19 vaccine. The project involves the release of a new video every Friday during the summer to help explain the vaccine and diminish fears, anxieties, and doubts surrounding it. The videos feature a combination of community members, health experts, public safety officials, residents, and more. "This project gives community members the space to participate and share their fears and anxiety through their own testimonials," said ODICR Community Engagement Strategist Carolina San Miguel in a statement. "With this project, we are aiming to help the community better understand what the COVID-19 vaccine is because it is okay to ask questions. We are here to give information and help and support in any way that we can." There are currently three videos in the series, with the first released on June 25. The most recent video, released Friday, addresses the specific worries people of color may have about receiving the vaccine.
