Description

Press release from Miller Memorial Library: July 12, 2021 Please join us on Zoom to discuss the book "Something in the Water" by Catherine Steadman on Monday, July 26th, 2021 at 6:30 pm. In her review of the book in the June 11, 2018 issue of "The New York Times," writer Sarah Lyall states, "…surprise comes when you clock that the author of this deftly paced, elegantly chilly thriller, Catherine Steadman, appeared on our television screens not so long ago. "Downton Abbey" fans might remember her as Mabel Lane Fox, the drolly acerbic heiress who vied with Lady Mary for the attentions of the less-sexy-than-Matthew-Crawley aristocrat Lord Gillingham." Lyall continues, "Steadman brings similar qualities of wit, timing and intelligence to this novel, which has already been optioned by 20th Century Fox (Reese Witherspoon is attached to produce)." Please sign up in advance for this meeting. If you have questions about Zoom check our website for information. If you do not have a card, and you are a Town of Hamden resident, you can obtain one at the Miller Library or the branches. Copies are available at the Miller Library. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Questions?
