Join Beans & Barlour and Brugal 1888 in Attempting to Break the Guinness World Record for Most People Simultaneously Scooping Ice Cream! Beans & Barlour, a dessert bar and bakery located in Downtown St Petersburg, in collaboration with Brugal 1888 Rum, will be celebrating National Ice Cream Day on Sunday, July 18th 2021 by attempting to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for most people scooping ice cream simultaneously. Beans & Barlour is known for creating magic through their epic desserts, and this will be their biggest event to date! Please join our celebration while assisting us in breaking a world record! The attempt will take place at Al Lang Stadium (home of the Tampa Bay Rowdies) on 7/18 at 11am and will be witnessed and certified in person by an official Guinness World Records adjudicator. The current record is held by Dairy Queen China and was achieved in June of 2015 with a total of 270 participants. Beans & Barlour and Brugal 1888 are inviting participants of all ages to be a part of this historic attempt. Admission is FREE but will require an advance ticket. All participants will receive a Brugal 1888 welcome cocktail, a Brugal 1888 infused boozy ice cream and a commemorative ice cream scoop. Non-alcoholic and dairy-free ice cream options will also be available. Beans & Barlour was established in 2018 in Downtown St Petersburg as a dessert bar and bakery specializing in scratch made alcohol infused ice cream and craft coffee. Its new flagship storefront opened in June of 2021 at 407 Central Ave with satellite locations in Tropicana Field and Al Lang Stadium. Brugal 1888 is a truly exceptional rum, produced by combining the rich flavours of bourbon and sherry casks through a proprietary double-ageing process. The farm to bottle process happens entirely in Dominican Republic and is managed by 5th generation descendants of Don Andres Brugal himself. Event Rules- It is crucial that we know the exact number of participants for this event. Please do not register unless you are 100% sure you will be attending. - All attendees MUST participate in the attempt at the designated time - No large bags or backpacks permitted - No outside food or beverage permitted with the exception of sealed water bottles - All participants 21 and over must have valid photo ID - Must be ready to enter at 11am. Gates will close at 11:30am FAQWhere can I park? Metered parking is available at Al Lang Stadium and on the surrounding streets downtown. Carpooling is recommended when possible. Is there a minimum age to participate? This event is open ages 10 and up. All participants must be able to scoop their own ice cream without the assistance of another. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Boozy ice cream will be served to participants 21 years of age and older with valid photo ID. Can I bring a non-ticketed child or guest? No. All attendees must have their own ticket and everyone in attendance must participate in the attempt. Will a Vegan Option be Available? Yes. One dairy and egg free option will be available.
