Description

Come out of the heat and watch some flicks! Every Monday at 2pm at the Fairhope Public Library, while the little kids are downstairs watching THEIR movie, the teens will be UPSTAIRS watching a movie. There will be popcorn and beanbag chairs, so bring a water bottle and get out of the heat for a couple hours. * In keeping with the summer reading theme of Tails and Tales, the Teen Services department has come up with a bunch of movies that feature creatures with tails, mostly just trying to mind their own business until some unsuspecting humans show up.... June 7: Jurassic Park: The Lost World - dinosaurs totally have tails. June 14: Godzilla vs. Mothra - do moths have tails? Doesn't matter, Godzilla has enough tail go around...usually destroying a city block in the process. June 21: Anaconda - snakes are basically one long tail. June 28: Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - lots of jungle animals have tails. July 5: Megan Leavey - a story about a soldier and her dog. And its tail. July 12: Jurassic World - How is a motorcycle like a velociraptor? Both have tails. July 19: The Birds - Creatures with (feathery) tails behaving badly. July 26: Jumanji: The Next Level - bird tails, monkey tails, large cat tails, etc. Movies will be upstairs next door to the Maker Space every Monday at 2pm. Reserve your spot for the movies you want to watch. Space is limited. *Whenever you attend a Teen Movie Monday you will get a ticket in a drawing for a prize. What is the prize? Spoilers, sweetie! All we will say now is that it probably will have a tail but won't try to eat you. Drawing will be held at the last movie on July 26.
