Princeton High School Names New Assistant Principal

PRINCETON, NJ — Princeton Public Schools (PPS) has selected Stephanie Greenberg as the new assistant principal at Princeton High School, the school district announced. She will assume her new role on Monday. Greenberg currently serves as the PPS Supervisor of Humanities, Grades 7-12. Assistant principals at Princeton High School (PHS) include Cecilia Birge and Rashone Johnson. Each assistant principal works with one-third of the student body. PHS has approximately 1,550 students. "Stephanie Greenberg is an engaging and accomplished educator with experience, leadership, and a passion for learning and she will be a tremendous asset to Princeton High School," Carol Kelley, Superintendent of Princeton Public Schools said in a statement. "I'm thrilled that she will be working with Principal Chmiel and the administrative team." Greenberg has worked for PPS since November 2018. Prior to coming to Princeton, she was an English teacher at Millburn High School for five years. She has also taught in West Windsor-Plainsboro, Brooklyn, South Korea and Taiwan. During the pandemic last year, Greenberg helped more than 40 English and Social Studies teachers pivot to remote learning and provided professional development workshops and individualized coaching. "We've come through an incredibly challenging time together, and I'm looking forward to embracing the opportunities for continued excellence and innovation that lie ahead," Greenberg said in a statement. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Princeton University and a Master of Arts degree in Politics and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Greenberg also has a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from Rutgers University. "There was a diverse, talented, and highly qualified group of candidates for this position. Ms. Greenberg brings three years of quality leadership experience," said Frank Chmiel, Principal of Princeton High School.
