Woman Stabbed To Death In Newark Hotel; Man Arrested: Authorities

NEWARK, NJ — A 23-year-old man has been accused of stabbing a woman to death at a Newark hotel last week, authorities said. Jessica Hilton, 32, was fatally stabbed on July 7 in a hotel on Clinton Avenue, where she was living. She is originally from Tennessee, according to a joint statement from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the Newark Public Safety Department. On Monday, authorities announced that Nasier McCray, 23, has been arrested and charged with murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. McCray is currently being housed at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark. The Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force, which includes detectives from the Newark Police Department, is investigating the stabbing.
