LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Board will vote Tuesday on whether to approve the county's facility capital improvement plan for fiscal year 2022, which includes the addition 0f a new 911 center in Libertyville.
The $35 million new building would allow the county to consolidate dispatching services with the hopes of getting emergency personnel to the scene quicker and with fewer call transfers, according to Daily Herald. If the plan is approved, the project would move to the design phase.
County documents show the building could include a a wellness space and a modern employee break room — both additions that are meant to approve the quality of life for dispatchers, according to the article.
