On a typical Monday summer night at Northeast Dance Project you can find the waiting room filled with tiny dancers and their moms' slipping on their ballet slippers and anticipating Miss Tracy coming out of the classroom to usher them into class. But these aren't just any tiny dancers, they are Miss Tracy's next generation - the daughters of some of her first students 25 years ago. Talk about full circle! Northeast Dance Project Owner and Director Tracy Badini has been teaching dance for over 25 years. She was trained at the School of American Ballet in New York City. SAB is the country's most prestigious dance school and feeds directly into New York City Ballet. Her students have performed at the competitive, collegiate, and professional level. Tracy's choreography has won numerous awards at the competitive level and has appeared at Madison Square Garden, The Prudential Center, and Symphony Space. Her students have appeared in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Carribean Cruise Lines, Billy Elliot on Broadway, Holland Dance Festival,Paul Taylor Dance, Ailey II, and Dance Moms. Badini shares, "This has been a lifelong dream of mine. To share the art of dance with young students and bring the very best training and education to the community." Alexa Cali of Florham Park noted, "To have my daughter dancing and learning under the instruction of Tracy is a dream. Tracy trained me for 13 years and served as a role model. Now my daughter gets to experience the same love and passion that Tracy instills into all of her students." Mallory Jewell of Randolph shared, "Growing up, dance was a passion of mine and I went on to dance professionally throughout college. I couldn't wait to sign my daughter up at Northeast Dance Project to learn amazing technique and a love for dance that Miss Tracy continues to instill all these years later." Paige Daugherty of Florham Park says, " Seeing my daughter take her first dance class with Miss Tracy exactly 20 years after my last class with her was an unforgettable special moment. The look of admiration on my daughter's face was an instant throwback to my time dancing with Miss Tracy!" Northeast Dance Project offers classes for students age 2 through adult and caters to the recreational and competitive dancer.
