Description
JOLIET, IL — Two businesses in the 100 block of East Jefferson Street, right across from the city-owned Joliet Slammers stadium, had their front windows destroyed by a hail of gunfire late Monday afternoon.
Joliet resident Bob Hernandez went to the scene to do one of his Facebook Live videos. He informed his followers that Joliet Mayor Bob O'Dekirk alerted him to the shooting in the city's downtown.
One of the businesses struck by gunfire was the Warehouse Workers for Justice Office. The other business is a hair salon, and Hernandez remarked that despite having its glass completely shattered, employees were still giving haircuts to customers on Monday evening.
