Due to growth, Progressive Converting, North America's largest independent paper converter, is searching for Production Helpers to join their day and night shift team in the Beaver Dam, WI area.  There are also openings in their skid shop for candidates with experience with air tools and/or skills saws. Duties and Functions: Open rolls and properly stage product for production Responsible for wrapping and weighing finished rolls and staging finished product to designated area. Responsible for packaging finished product and bringing finished product to designated area, Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows the prescribed safety regulations. May assist the Lead with packaging line set up. Must be able to understand and complete the helper checklist Must be able to competently complete required paperwork. Must be able to read and understand internal (Pro-Con) job tickets Must be able to competently complete required paperwork to include- roll outer diameter (OD), splice tracker, core plugs per roll, weight, tape/dust test, and double-checking cuts (size) Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow the prescribed safety regulations. May assist the Operator with machine set up. Must be familiar with the basic machine functions in order to meet production deadlines. Assist Operator/Lead with general maintenance duties on machines as required. Must be able to work independently. Daily contact with co-workers, management, third party vendors and customers requiring courtesy, discretion and sound judgment. Understands they are a representative of the employer. Required to perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
