MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Crime in Manhattan Beach was down from last week during the period from June 25-July 7, according to a crime report released by the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The report lists 31 incidents, including accounts of burglary, theft, and assault.
Burglary
There were five reports of both commercial and residential burglary between 6/25 and 7/5. A front door was broken on the 1200 block of Manhattan Beach Bl., doors were pryed open on the 1400 block of 10th St., and a door was shattered in a commercial building on the 1100 block of N. Sepulveda.
Robbery A reported robbery occurred on 7/1 on the 4200 block of Ocean Dr. A purse was stolen.
Vehicle Burglary
There were two reports of vehicle burglary on 6/29. Both incidents occurred on the 1400 block of 6th St.
TheftThere were 16 reports of theft in Manhattan Beach between 6/26-7/7, including a catalytic converter theft on the 700 block of 36th St. There are five reports of bikes stolen on the 100 block of 42nd St., 200 block of 11th St., 1800 block of Walnut St., 4000 block of Ocean Dr., and on the 4200 block of Ocean Dr. A cell phone was stolen on the 1200 block of Manhattan Beach Bl.
VandalismThere were two cases of vandalism reported on 7/1 and 7/5 on the 1800 block of Rosecrans Ave. and the 500 block of Rosecrans Ave.
