Job details Job Type: Full-time Number of hires for this role: 1 Qualifications Bachelor's (Preferred)Outside Sales: 7 years (Preferred)Financial Services: 7 years (Preferred) Full Job Description Relationship Manager/Commercial LendingDepartment: Commercial Lending Reports to: SVP/Chief Lending Officer Job Summary/Responsibilities: Effectively execute strong prospecting efforts to develop new banking relationships including commercial loans and deposits.Develop and maintain a strong network of COIs including attorneys, accountants, real estate agents and insurance agents with regular calling efforts to generate new business opportunities.Assess borrowing needs and repayment capacity based upon industry and business cycle.Establish and negotiate within loan policy and procedure the terms under which credit will be extended to qualified clients including interest rate, repayment method and collateral requirements.Follow the loan process through from underwriting to closing.Manage Relationships and submit loan requests for underwriting and approval.Portfolio management of client base maintaining credit quality and working with those clients to develop additional business opportunities.Increase visibility in the bank’s marketing area by accepting key leadership roles and participating in business, service, and other non-profit community organizations.Cross-sell other bank services to enhance the overall marketing effort.Ensure adherence with proper credit risk management and loan policies and procedures.Adherence to Code of Conduct and various Bank policiesAll other duties as assigned. Experience/Key Qualifications: History of success in developing new commercial loan (C & I and CRE) and deposit relationships- this is primarily a new business development role.Experience in analyzing business financial statements and real estate project related data, negotiating loan terms and structuring all types of commercial loans.Ability to read and interpret personal financial statements, tax returns and credit bureau reports.Knowledge of credit underwriting, loan structuring and bank and client industry specifics to effect right product/service mix for client and bank.Provide superior customer service by responding to all client and prospect requests in a timely manner.Highly motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as the ability to develop a working knowledge of other programs and systems employed by the Bank.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all areas of the bank, both written and verbal.Accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of execution of responsibilities.Integrity and ethics.Adherence to policies and procedures.Ongoing, consistent support of the Bank’s goals and values.Ability to cross-sell other bank services to enhance the overall marketing effort.Ability to work/collaborate successfully with all departments within the bank.Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in Commercial Lending.
