Press release from City of Berkeley: July 8, 2021 Berkeley, California - Hello Berkeley! This is a message about National Night Out 2021. As you know, after many years of hosting National Night Out events in Berkeley, the Covid-19 Pandemic meant we were not able to get together in 2020. We are writing to let you know that National Night Out is back on for 2021! This year the event is planned for its usual day, the first Tuesday in August. For 2021 that means August 3rd. The event may be modified if public health conditions change, but present information and rules in California and in Berkeley allow outdoor events like National Night Out to proceed. If you register an event, make sure to also apply for a block party permit if applicable. A link to directions to apply is in the registration.
