Hello, all! My name is Shaylee. I am looking to start child care in my home. I have 3 years experience taking care of children(not including my own.) I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am also certified in Fire Safety, Standard Precautions, and Medication Administration. For the past 4.5 years I have been working in the group home field. I have extensive experience in working with behaviorally challenged individuals. With my experience comes knowledge in caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I have been a supervisor in my field for about 2 years, but I am looking to start child care in my home. I worked for a state certified daycare for 3 years prior to moving the the group home field. I am currently caring for adults and would like to get back to caring for children. I have a 4 bedroom home with a huge (clean) basement set up as a playroom and a fenced in back yard. I will be providing meals and snacks. We are located only a couple of blocks from Menominee Park in Oshkosh, so with permission we will make frequent trips to the park. I have an activity calendar made up, so we will be doing a lot of crafts and activities. In the home, it’s myself, my 2 children who are 7 and 4, and my sister. For rates, I am looking for $40 per day for a single child and $60 per day for 2 children. I am looking to start caring for kids starting August 9th. I may be able to start earlier if needed. I will be available Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm. Early drop off and weekend hours may be worked out if needed. I am willing to provide a background check to anyone who may want it.
