Job Purpose: As a Rural Digital Literacy Resource Navigator and member of the Washington Service Corps, you and another AmeriCorps Volunteer would commit a 1,700 hour term of service where you would be increasing community impact and expanding services to low income at-risk individuals. WorkSource Central Basin in Moses Lake is looking for a Rural Digital Literacy Resource Navigator to work with local communities in Grant and Adams Counties to provide assistance with computer basics, internet, social media and basic technical skills in order to navigate in a digital world. Duties: * Provide individual and group assistance, including but not limited to: website resources; small business development websites; defining language and opportunities to break down digital barriers. * Conduct outreach to community members and program participants * Develop connections in the communities served in, in order to cultivate resources for program participants and to meet the goals of the project * Participate in the development and delivery of workshops that promote digital learning * Coordinate services with the team and other service providers in support of program participants * Participate in the development and delivery of workshops that promote digital learning * Coordinate services with the team and other service providers in support of program particpants. * Build an understanding of digital curriculum such as Microsoft, TEALs and other resources for students and adults to help them better understand the digital landscape * Provide courses on demand in resources to build competency in digital media * Provide minimal technology support inside the WorkSource office to customers. Not to exceed 25% of member time. *Track and report performance outcomes quarterly to WSC. *Support office social media efforts, to reach a broader audience and increase customer interaction. *Provide job search skill training and additional skill development services that may include how to navigate a variety of job search websites. Required or Desired Qualifications *Strong preference for the ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English *Ability to present information to both small and large groups in a public setting *Have a valid driver's license and ability to drive to remote locations from their central office hub. This position will receive a monthly stipend of $2876.00. In addition, individual will receive an Education award of $6,195 upon successful completion. * Need more information?
