We are a fast growing biotech company doing research in plants looking for a Greenhouse Associate to assist in our greenhouses. We are looking for someone with greenhouse experience to assist with planting, caring for our plants and keeping our greenhouse clean. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Greenhouse employees are responsible for planting, growing and caring for plants. JOB DUTIES • Prep soil by mixing required additives. • Plant seeds and carefully monitor seeds for germination. • Carefully monitor moisture levels in our soil to ensure healthy plants. • Maintain a clean greenhouse and planting room by cleaning frequently and keeping materials organized and labeled. • Follow required safety regulations and additional procedures. • Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS • Flexible availability for work hours. We need weekday and weekend availability as well as availability to work on holidays. • Ability to maintain a positive attitude. • Able to work independently and in a team environment. OTHER REQUIREMENTS • Ability to work in conditions typically found in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present. • Ability to exert 15-50 pounds occasionally in order to lift and move items. • Ability to balance, reach and move items while climbing on a ladder. • Ability to crouch, grasp and lift product above shoulders in order to lift product from the floor properly. • Ability to stand for long periods of time as job duties require. • Ability to use the tools necessary to perform works tasks.
