We are seeking a dependable warehouse associate with box truck driving experience who possesses the required physical stamina to accomplish the job safely. The ideal candidate should be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. Experience as a Truck Driver is REQUIRED. We will be conducting interviews this upcoming Friday July 16, 2021 between 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver Duties and Responsibilities: - Receive and carry out directions as provided by a supervisor - Navigate warehouse equipment to ensure customer orders are collected - Prepare and package customer orders according to each work order - Communicate with coworkers and supervisors to optimize work completion - Ensure company guidelines and policies are being met at all times - Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle - 26ft. Box Truck with Liftgate - Pick-up and safely transport goods to the intended destination - almost always under 35 miles in radius - Ensure contents are properly secured in the truck to prevent damage - Obtain signatures and verify order quantities to confirm and complete deliveries - Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery - Communicate with dispatch as needed - Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document - Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip - Check weather conditions and road reports before departure - Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean - Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered - Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate and available times - Adhere to company policies, rules, and regulations - Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions - Comply with ICC and DOT regulations - Make safety a priority at all times - Assist with packing and shipping of orders - Assist with cleaning and organizing of warehouse - Assist with inventory management and count - Assist with unloading and putting away containers of goods Warehouse Associate/ Truck Driver Qualifications: - Valid commercial Class B driver’s license (preferred) - 1+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving (required) - Able to operate a sit-down forklift, electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc. (required) - Forklift Certified preferred but not required - Some knowledge of using power tools such as saws, sanding machines, drills, etc. (preferred) - Clean driving record with no open/recent moving violations - Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles in tight spaces and hillside - Alert, focused, and detail-oriented - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time - Possesses physical stamina and focus during driving shifts - Proficient using GPS and other routing systems - High level of composure and good stress management - Punctual and sustained work ethic Job Type: Full-time COVID-19 considerations: You must be wearing a mask in the office unless vaccination is proven.
