Good afternoon! I hope this message finds you well. My name is Aerial, and I am a long time resident of the PNW. For far too long, I (like many others) have witnessed the decay and neglect that seems to go on without end. It's time for politicians to be held accountable, and it's time for the people to step up into a line of leadership that will do just that. Personally, I have a background in political fundraising and community engagement. I've worked on a few campaigns, local voting initiatives and sat with the public in an effort to understand their views and concerns. I am all too aware of the way in which politicians draw back on their word. We've all watched as politicians lobby for our vote, then subsequently fall back on promises made to constituents who were banking on that hope more than anyone. I'm tired of being let down, but I am more than ready to begin doing something about it. And I'm looking for others who feel the same as I do. I am currently looking for two open minded, educated individuals to assist me in political campaigns starting in Portland. These individuals preferably have an education in Political Science, Public Health/Policy. Nothing incredibly lengthy (although that would be great) but 1-2 years spent in that education or more would be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for someone who is savvy with social media, programming/developing, photo shop+, administrative tasks, correspondence and more. (basically an all around person) I'm looking for people who are aware of the inequalities around us. People who are concerned with the ongoing homelessness issue - as well as an awareness of the response by local government. My goal is to start an organization that endorses local campaigns for qualified candidates who are ready and able to take on the crucial tasks Portland needs in order to see real change - NOW. Not some time in the hopefully near future. Join me in this mission and with incredible hard work and dedication - it can be a success.
