SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of technical duties including inspection, assembly, testing, prototyping and support tasks for a variety of products, incorporating various components, materials and finishes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Electronic assembly, including soldering of fine pitch SMT components and wiring harness fabrication
Mechanical assembly
Inspection and testing of parts and assemblies
Overall organization of lab area, including documentation of processes and mentoring of less experienced staff
Regular interaction and collaboration in support of the engineering staff
Other tasks as may be assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALITIES
Minimum 5 years experience in a directly related hi‐tech electronics environment
Expert solder and assembly skills, ability to interpret schematics and engineering drawings
Experience using typical electronics test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes
High school diploma or GED
Computer competence – Microsoft Excel and Word, internet search ability
Strong work ethic, motivation and willingness to learn
Extra points for candidates with building trades experience able to support light facilities improvement work
This is an on‐site position in Forest Hill, Maryland (Harford County)
Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
