Description
Seeking flat-rate, contract mechanic to pick up work at Red Wrench Cycles, a Harley Davidson after-market shop in Redmond, Oregon.
Contract Offerings
• $20 an hour
• 15-30 hours per week
• Flexible payment schedule
• 1099 provided
Duties
• Perform service, maintenance, repair and customization work on time and in accordance with factory specifications under supervision of shop owner.
• Prepare and execute parts orders.
• Assist with writing up and completing work orders, communicating with customers, and test riding.
• Provide prompt, dependable, high-quality service to customers of all backgrounds and ethnicities.
• Notify Service Writer/Manager of additional work needed or any delays immediately.
• Keep work areas clean and assist with maintaining overall shop cleanliness.
Qualifications
• Valid driver's license with motorcycle endorsement required.
• 1+ year of mechanic experience required.
• MMI or equivalent Harley-Davidson experience preferred.
• Personal tools to perform the tasks required at your proficiency level preferred.
• Proficiency on multiple lifts preferred.
• Must be dependable, organized and self-motivated.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must have satisfactory criminal background check and good driving record.

Working Conditions
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• Requires bending, crouching, reaching, handling tools, lifting 75 lb. and use of both hands.
• Requires the ability to balance and push an 800 lb. motorcycle.
• Frequently working near moving mechanical parts.
• Potential exposure to exhaust fumes, battery acid, gasoline, and chemical cleaning materials.
Shop Access
• 8 am-7 pm
