Description
My name is Elsa Irby, pronouns she/her/ella, and I’m a Master’s candidate for Applied Anthropology at the University of North Texas. As an activist for reproductive justice, my thesis project centers around abortion care and access during COVID-19 in Texas. I’ve partnered with the Lilith Fund to do research investigating just that! The University of North Texas Department of Anthropology is seeking participants who are 18+ years old and who sought out abortion care during COVID-19 to participate in a research study titled, “Investigating the effects of COVID-19-related restrictions on abortion access in Texas.” The purpose of this study is to provide insight on the consequences COVID-19 related restrictions like lockdown and quarantine have had on the health of those with uteruses to challenge abortion restrictions in Texas.
Participation in this study comes in two forms: a survey and an interview. If you’re interested in taking the survey, please click this link. If you’re interested in being interviewed, please indicate that on the survey (there will be a section for you to provide your contact information). Descriptions of the duration of each activity is described below:
* Quick 5 question survey (identity will remain anonymous)
* 45-60 minute interview (identity will remain confidential)
It is important to remember that participation is voluntary and your personal information will remain confidential!
You will receive monetary compensation or a gift with the same monetary value for participation in a full interview only (at least 45min). For more information about this study, please contact the research team by email at [email protected].
