Yale Street Dog House & Bakery is an exclusive small dog only facility in the Houston Heights offering enrichment based Daycare, Cage Free Boarding, & Grooming (for all sizes).We also have a dog bakery that offers fresh cakes and treats for all the dogs of Houston. We are located in the Heart of the Heights of Houston. We have one shift available and that is our Mid shift Monday thru Friday. We do require that our daycare staff shift be flexible with one another and work as a team. Responsibilities Every pet is treated with respect and dignity Always have fresh water Clean up poop, urine, and any other substances that dogs leave behind Engage in play activities assigned for the day, including fetch, recall, pool time, and other activities that are appropriate for pack play Communicate to any concerns with dogs regarding, injury, behavior or personality Follow all safety rules of handling dogs Clean and sanitize all pet areas, exercise yards, and daycare floor. Work with others to complete daily tasks as needed Make sure all dogs feel at home, safe and loved. Must A passion for Dogs! Have a minimum of 1 year experience working with a pack of 30+ dogs Have experience with dog body language Focuses on safe and gentle handling. Forceful, aversive, aggressive handling, vocalizing, or treatment will not be tolerated. Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping. Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to work holidays and weekends Ability to take direction well and apply it independently Ability to work work outside, in temperature extremes Ability to tolerate being in close contact with various bodily fluids and to get dirty frequently Must be physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and to lift up to 40 lbs.
