LOST RING: $2000 REWARD

South Lyon MI

Description

I have lost my wedding band over the July 4th weekend when visiting my parent's private lakehouse in South Lyon, MI (lake is called "ten mile lake"). The wedding band was my Grandfather's, who purchased it just after returning home from World War 2. The ring is solid gold and worth about $500, but is extremely valuable to me, so I would like to offer a $2000 reward to any divers who can find it. We can pinpoint the location (within 5-6 foot radius) where it was dropped, as it was dropped just 5-6 feet off our dock, where the water is only around 10 feet deep there and the lake bottom is 14 feet deep. NOTE: we have had two scuba divers (two instructors) come by over the last week to attempt to recover the ring and neither were successful. One only had lights and the other had lights and an underwater metal detector. The divers have said that while the lake is very sandy/easy to see leading up to the dock, as well as very sandy in the middle of the lake, there is a 10-20 feet region of the lake that is extremely murky, has only 1-2 feet of visibility, and has things like plastic cups, concrete slabs, and other items that have accrued over the years just off the dock at the bottom. In addition, there is ~2-3feet of dead leaves that are making it very difficult to locate the ring, even with a metal detector. I would highly advise anyone coming to search for the ring to have experience searching in such a situation. Myself and my family are devastated to have lost this ring and we would be eternally grateful to anyone who has the resources to recover it. I will pay $50 (gas/travel, oxygen expenses) to anyone who tries to come out and locate the ring for a few hours, as well as $2000 to anyone who can locate/retrieve the ring itself. Thank you very much Adam
