Medical Equipment Company is seeking a delivery technician to join our expanding work force. This is a very rewarding job with huge potential. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Loading equipment into vans for delivering to patients. Ensure that equipment is properly secured in vans to ensure damage free delivery. Deliver and setup equipment for patients and instruct patients on basic use of the equipment. Equipment may include hospital beds, respiratory, mobility and bath equipment. Accurately note down equipment delivered to patients. Equipment may be delivered to patient’s home or nursing facility. Technician should be able to carry equipment to the home or nursing facility from the vehicle. Pickup equipment once patient has finished use of equipment. Should be able to assist clients over the phone in troubleshooting equipment. Should be able to perform routine maintenance of equipment in order to ensure readiness for delivery to patients. Complete all company paperwork including daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs. Maintain accurate records and logs of inbound and outbound products including accurate recording of product information. Shall be well versed with appropriate and safe cleaning procedures of equipment and assist with the repair of equipment. Perform routine vehicle maintenance including the checking of gasoline, oil fluids, tire pressure and brakes. Report malfunctions to supervisor. Should be able to manage time efficiently and be able to prioritize multiple requests. Able to work on-call duties (evenings and weekends as per schedule). Must possess a calm and professional demeanor and be compassionate with clients. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and should be able to communicate effectively with clients and caregivers. Must be able to work independently and unsupervised. Clean driving record. Must be able to work as part of a team. Perform other duties as required by management.
