South Florida’s Shucking Best Oyster Eating Contest Oyster Eating Contest National Oyster Day August 5th To help celebrate National Oyster Day at our famous Raw Bar here at Lucky Shuck, we are sponsoring our first oyster eating contest. It’s your chance to win cash, prizes, and bragging rights. Here’s how – You will be given a tray of shucked oysters and they must be individually slurped from the shell. Just grab the oysters and throw them into your mouth. Oysters must be chewed and swallowed to count. All oyster meat remaining in the tray will be deducted from the total. All fees will benefit the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Museum Prizes To Be Awarded: First Prize $200 cash Second Prize Lucky Shuck ApparelThird Prize Lucky Shuck ApparelRules: Time Limit: 2 minutes 30 seconds for each oyster athleteInitial tray of 36 Oysters. You can flavor them any way you want prior to the start of the contest.Additional trays will be on standby should you finish your tray.All oysters must be slurped, chewed, and swallowed to be counted.All remaining oyster meat on the tray will be deducted from your total.Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place. Participation certificates also will be given to all who participate.Should there be a tie, the person who finishes 12 additional oysters first, will be awarded first prize.Contestants may begin at the first whistle and must end at finalOysters must stay down after the contest is complete for up to 3 minutes to be declared a winner
