While Adriana has to find ways to help her mother, she also struggles to find herself (Inner Child) in a world telling her she has to become a lawyer to help her family's financial situation. Will she decide to attend law school or follow her passions? Addiction, Therapy, Loss, and Self-Discovery are all prominent themes in the film. Written and directed by Hilaria Landaverde, the story itself is a personal narrative that many people will connect to. There has been a time and place in our lives where we have all felt we lost time in doing things for other people.
