An Old Skool Park Jam festival taking place at Parcel 5 in Rochester, NY Park jams, originating in NYC, have always been integral to the origins and growth of Hip Hop during the 1970s-1980s. Park jams, then and now, are an opportunity for us to gather, lay down our differences, and discover our similarities. In our 2nd season we plan to go big! Rochester’s own, DJ Big Reg, has been an upstate DJ icon for the past 20 yrs. along side dj’s Bacspin, grand imperial and a host of other luminaries, began the Roc Jam Live Park Jam Festival series during the pandemic in order to bring the people of Rochester together and to revive the tradition of grassroots Hip Hop culture. Family-friendly, free, and open to the public, the Roc Jam Live Festival’s are held on Sunday afternoons at the newly renovated Parcel 5. The series runs from the beginning of July till the end of August. These tickets are for the VIP tent that will be set up in the genral admission area. You will be provided a wristband that will grant you in and out access. The tent will have food, a seperate bar, facials and massages. The VIP ticket will also grant you admission in to the VIP after party being held at the Mercantile Group cocktail lounge, directly across the street from the Parcel 5.
