Balance and Beauty is back with our signature brunch! Our focus is on uplifting the next generation and legacy building. Balance and Beauty’s Urban High Tea and Luncheon is our first annual mentoring luncheon and workshop! This year we will bring young ladies and women together to experience a mentoring luncheon focused on uplifting the next generation and legacy building. After a fun networking session, we will enjoy lunch, indulge the bottomless mimosa station and dive into our breakout sessions. Uplifting the Next Generation Please consider paying it forward and exposing our future female leaders to what power, purpose and discipline can get them. We collectively want to make sure that they are staying on the right path while remaining mindful, grateful, and accountable. All while reminding them that there is opportunity in every room and their seat at the table is owned not borrowed. In addition to your ticket purchase, we ask that you bring or sponsor a young lady. This purpose driven event will be filled with incredible women from all walks of life. They are ready to answer any questions concerning career goals and life’s hiccups that might frustrate the average young lady from owning her destiny. Our young ladies ages 14-20 will be engaged by a panel of motivational mentors to provide invaluable information to help our girls lead an inspired life. Our young ladies need to feel the power of a room filled with successful women and see the residuals of discipline, hard work and commitment to their fields. They need to be empowered by the security of mentorship and be encouraged to achieve their goals with passion, pride, and confidence. Having a positive mindset and living intentionally is not a underserved issue. It is not a deficiency due to economic standards. It is innate and in most cases needs to be taught, and at the very least reminded. There is an absolute need to be mindful, present, and accountable while stimulating a positive outlook on life. Legacy Building While the young ladies are engaged, the women 21 and over will be gaining all the tools need for successful legacy building. Far too often loved ones pass away and leave us anxious, confused, and depressed because things are not in place. Legacy building is establishing documents that leave your loved ones more confident about your departure. We will have an uncomfortable conversation that will hopefully lead you to encouraging yourself and your loved ones to get more organized through proper estate planning, preparing a will or instituting a living trust. We are constantly instilling in our children to be properly educated, pick a well-paying career, and live independently. However, we do them a disservice in not properly equipping them with the knowledge and steps they need to take to educate doctors if we are hospitalized or planning our memorial services. Most of us have been blessed to instinctively take care of our loved ones yet are not equipped to follow through until the end. This is going to be an exciting afternoon filled with great food, networking, and the tools needed to live your best intentional life. I'll See You At High Tea!
