FREE Faculty & Young Artist Concert at DeWint House. Program includes beloved Mendelssohn Octet and a new work by Philip Wharton for flutes. BridgeMusik presents 2021 BridgeMusik Summer Festival Faculty and Young Artist Concert #1. The program will feature student performers alongside Krystof Witek (violin), Kevin Matson (violin), Samuel Marchan (viola), Luis Casal (viola), Fred Zlotkin (cello), Diego Garcia (cello) in the beloved Mendelssohn Octet. Students will also present solo works from Bach to Sibelius. The concert will include a new work "Where are the Watchers" for flute ensemble by American composer Philip Wharton and performed by flutists Tanya Witek, Gretchen Pusch, Lisa Hansen, Pao Tseng and Melissa Aleles. The concert will be held outside on the beautiful DeWint lawn. Bring a blanket/lawn chair, leashed dogs allowed. Admission is FREE but BridgeMusik appreciates your donations. In case of inclement weather we will notify all who registered on Eventbrite about contingency plans. This concert will feature renowned jazz vocalist Shirley Crabbe, Majella Maltempi from Pearl River High School, American composer Beata Moon and Rockland's Americana song-maker Arlon Bennett!
