Darien Garden Club Meeting - Tuesday, September 7th “Daffodils and other Spring Bulbs” Planning for our spring gardens actually begins in the fall. Sometimes it’s hard to get excited about buying and digging in the bulbs….so join us and get inspired! Join us for an enlightening evening of learning about daffodils and other spring-blooming bulbs on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Our presenter will be Sue Groshong, a master gardener who volunteers at the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Please note: We will be live streaming this event on Zoom. More about our presenter, Sue Groshong: Sue Groshong is a University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and volunteer in Plant Information at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Her specialty at the garden is tracking down identification of plants, especially native plants and weeds, and talking to garden clubs and community groups. She has volunteered with restoration projects in Illinois, Wisconsin, and her home state of California. Together with her husband, she designed, planted and maintains an extensive cottage garden at her home in Evanston. She also has a sizable vegetable garden and woods in Southwest Wisconsin. She is a retired Executive Director of JP Morgan Chase.
